24 hour epoxy floor coating by Cornerstone Coatings
Your stained gray garage slab, turned into a flake floor within 24 hours.
Cornerstone Coatings puts every floor down within 24 hours. We start in the morning and finish the day after, and the night in between is the point. The base coat cures overnight before the top coat goes over it, and that is the step a same day install skips.
- Walk on it after 24 hours, park on it after 48 hours
- A polyaspartic top coat on every floor, not an upgrade you ask for
- One system on every floor, and no cheaper version of it
- ROC #368030, insured

Why the top coat is not epoxy
Epoxy bonds to the concrete and carries the flake, so the base coat is epoxy. It is a poor thing to leave on top in this sun.
Epoxy all the way up
Plain epoxy turns yellow and chalky in sunlight.
Epoxy under a polyaspartic top coat
A polyaspartic top coat is UV stable, meaning sunlight does not break it down, and it holds its color, so the clear coat over the flake is polyaspartic rather than more epoxy.
Who you’ll deal with
Cornerstone Coatings is a family business. Jayson and Danielle Payne own it, and Jayson is the one you’ll meet: he measures your slab, quotes it in person and is on site for both visits of the install.
He was born and raised in Arizona, so he knows what the sun does to a slab.
There is more on the about page.

Pick a blend
Tap a chip to see it larger. The sample boards are at the office if you want to see one in your hand, and the flake colors page has the metallic finishes as well.

Two ways to pay for the floor
Both start from the same place: Jayson measures the slab and gives you the price in person.
The price, quoted at the visit
Pay it outright
The number Jayson gives you is the price of the job, with no cheaper version and nothing added at the close.
Spread it out through Affirm

What goes into the floor
Every floor gets the same three coats: an epoxy base coat, color flakes spread across it while it is still wet, and a clear polyaspartic top coat, which handles Arizona sun better than plain epoxy.

How the 24 hours run
Grind
The first morning. We blow the slab off and grind it with a diamond grinder, which takes the top skin off the concrete so the coating can grip. Then we vacuum up the dust.
Base coat and flake
The epoxy goes down, and we broadcast the flake into it while it is wet, scattering the color flakes across it by hand.
The hold
We leave, and the floor holds overnight before anybody touches it.
Top coat
The day after. We scrape off any flake that didn’t stick, so the top coat goes on smooth, then roll on the polyaspartic clear coat.
The 24 hour install page explains what the hold is for.
Floors we have finished
These are all our own jobs. There are more on the projects page.

What we coat
The same system goes down on each of these. The last two are the jobs that come before a coating or stand on their own, and the services page says what each one is in a sentence.
What your price covers
Jayson measures your slab in person and quotes the whole job. Here’s what’s in that number, what costs extra, and what we don’t do.
Included on every floor
- We diamond grind the whole slab before anything goes down.
- Epoxy base coat, your flake blend, and a polyaspartic clear top coat. There’s no cheaper version.
- Done within 24 hours, with an overnight hold between coats.
- Jayson on site both visits, from the grind to the top coat.
Costs extra, quoted at the visit
- Crack repair
- Metallic and marble finishes
What we don't do
- Pool decks
- Upstairs floors and basements, because our grinder can’t get there
- Storage cabinets, but we can point you to someone who builds them
Affirm is available if you’d rather pay over time.
In the owner’s words
Everything's gonna be premium.
We're born raised here. We know how hot it gets.
The first morning, we blow the slab clean and diamond grind the whole surface, then vacuum out the dust. The epoxy base coat goes down, the flake goes into it, and then we leave it alone overnight.
The day after, we come back and scrape the floor, which knocks off any flake that didn’t stick so the clear coat goes on smooth. Then we roll on the polyaspartic clear coat that seals it in.
That overnight hold is why we don’t sell same day floors.
The 24 hour install page explains what that night between coats is for.
